Keeping Us in Oneness

As for Japan Gospel Bookroom, Brother Paul Wu promoted the blending among the gospel bookrooms in the Asian countries. The literature work is an important part in the work of the age by Brother Watchman Nee and Brother Witness Lee for the spread of the ministry of the age. For this, the gospel bookrooms in various countries should not work independently but should be coordinated to do the one work. Brother Paul Wu took care very well of all gospel bookrooms in the Asian countries and he initiated the blending among the gospel bookrooms in Asian countries in 1990s and 2000s. Once in three years, we, serving ones of each gospel bookroom, gathered together at one place such as Taipei, Korea and Malaysia to be blended with one another for the one work. Through such opportunities, we, Japan Gospel Bookroom, had a lot of blending with the other gospel bookrooms to receive a lot of help. Of course, we had a very intimate fellowship with Taiwan Gospel Bookroom to be brought into the one work. In this way, the literature work in Japan received a lot of blessings.

As for the Lord's work in Japan, when we held conferences at many cities in Japan to follow the Lord's present move, Brother Paul Wu himself came to Japan many times to help us. When he was not available, he always arranged for some co-workers of Taiwan to come to Japan. Through such help, the Lord's recovery in Japan has been kept in oneness with His one work on the earth. Praise the Lord!

In 2010, when we had a burden to preach the gospel nationwide, we had fellowship with Brother Paul Wu and asked him whether it was possible to send many saints from Taiwan to Japan to preach the gospel with us. Brother Paul Wu immediately answered our request and sent dozens of co-workers, full-timers and full-time trainees (FTTT) to us. They came to some cities in Japan and stayed for a month to preach the gospel with local saints, mainly to college students. We still practice this every year. Through this practice, the saints in Taiwan and Japan are coordinated together to preach the gospel and baptize many people. This practice has become a great help for the advancement of the gospel in Japan.

In 2015, when we had a burden to purchase a big meeting hall which can accommodate 1200 persons, Brother Paul Wu came to Tokyo many times to find a good property. He encouraged us and enlarged our capacity to make financial offerings. We also received a lot of offering from the churches in Taiwan. Through such a help, we succeeded in purchasing the big meeting hall at a very convenient place near an university campus (Waseda University, which is one of the best private universities in Japan). Now this property is used as the office of Japan Gospel Bookroom, as the place where FTT Tokyo trainees have classes, as the place with a good atmosphere to invite gospel friends and new ones for fellowship, and as the place where we conduct various kinds of conferences.

In this way, Brother Paul Wu has always had a kind concern for the churches in Japan. He never rejected our request but always took care of us and encouraged us. We really thank the Lord for granting us such a gift for the Body of Christ.
