Gladly Spending Himself and Being Faithful unto Death

Since the new beginning of the church in Hong Kong in the 1990s, Brother Wu with his loving care had perfected us in many ways. We greatly benefited from him in the matters of service, shepherding, administration, and building. From 2003, when the Lord took a step forward in the work in Hong Kong, there was a greater need in perfecting the young people, spreading the gospel on school campuses, and organizing meetings for the neighboring churches for their blending and fellowship. Brother Wu and other co-workers served us and all the participants with the vision of the Body, their many years of learning before the Lord, the supply of the word of the ministry, and the rich experiences of life. We had been greatly blessed by their service. The practice of the fellowship and blending of the Body had also been immensely strengthened.

Through many years of contact with Brother Wu, we can testify that he was truly a slave of the Lord. He did not spare himself but gladly spent on others and even spent himself and was faithful unto death. He was a co-worker with wisdom and insight, knowing the direction of the Lord's move today. He had the perspective of the Body of Christ and a broad and large heart to be able to bear many churches, many saints, and the Lord's work on the entire earth. He was bold and never avoided difficulties; hence, he was able to be used by the Lord to address many difficult situations and protect the Lord's interest. On the other hand, he was meek and lowly and he loved and treasured the saints very much. Therefore, many liked to approach him. He practiced blending and also brought in the blending and fellowship of the Body.

Brother Wu was an excellent pattern for us. His parting saddens us but at the same time motivates us to love and serve the Lord in such a way! The Lord is coming soon (Rev. 22:20)! Now, our brother is already in the triumphal procession. May we be encouraged to run together the race set before us (Heb. 12:1). Amen.
